Fit and finish

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The stock fitment on my NEW ruger no. 1 is terrible.

For a $2,500 rifle, i expect a close level of attention. The only fix i can do is to replace the stock as it's missing to much material in some areas, while others have way to much

Couldn't speak with a representative directly. Used E Mail but the response was quicker than usual. Still " Not in stock", but why are dealers telling me they see no problems with ordering and receiving?

Original review updated Feb 05, 2025
I placed a request through the NRA Instructor Discount program. I requested a #6739.

I received a quote, sent in the documentation, waited the designated time period and then called to inquire, None are available. I submitted mid-September of '24, Now it's February of '25. I've ordered all my training guns through Ruger and shot matches with a Super Blackhawk. I've called two other times and received the same response.

??? NROTC classes have asked about this caliber, so I tried to order through the program.

I ordered the unit in ample time for the next class, now, in two weeks. A call would be great second to changing the FFL to ship to.

Painting over slot screws for 10-22 cabine.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The two screws toward the butt of the rifle came out fine. However, the two over the barrel or slot screws was painted over so badly that the slots stripped out because they are made of aluminum.

I called the manufacturer and they wanted me to take it back to Walmart. Walmart declined, but the representative claimed I had to take it back to a dealer. I shouldn't have to do this; the screws should have been accessible. This seems like a case of bad manufacturing.

They shouldn't have used slotted screws. I will never buy another Ruger for the rest of my life. Their company and their products are severely disappointing.

Marlin, oh, you also make these rifles - never mind. I will never buy a Ruger firearm again.

No communication

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I recently bought the new 380 security. Fired 100 rds through it, broke it down, cleaned it, and when I tried to re-assemble it - the slide would not engage completely back to reset the internal hammer.

It seems the trigger would not fully reset to its original position. I sent the gun back to Ruger, and after 3 weeks (no problem) they returned the gun saying they replaced the barrel - that was not the problem. no call, no email, I don't even know if they read my notes? I get a better response from the technicians when I service my lawnmower.

I called customer service, and was told someone would get back to me??? thanks

Brand new Ruger 10-22 JUNK

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The slotted-headed screws on top, where you mount your scope, stripped out to pieces. Ruger creates a piece of crap.

What's a rifle without a scope? I called them. I bought it at Walmart. Walmart won't take it back.

It's all a final sale with Walmart. I called Ruger and they want me to take it back to the dealer.

I can't do that, so they won't warranty their product because they are a *** company. If you ever buy a Ruger, you're the biggest fool in the world.

Resolved: 10/22 trigger group

Updated by user Jan 23, 2025

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I spoke to Tina Collins in customer service.

She asked me to mail in my trigger mechanism for them to look at the problem. I mailed it out on 1/22/2025 first class mail.

I was very impressed with the courtesy Tina showed me towards solving my problem. Her kindness exemplifies why Ruger stands out as number one in firearms.

I heard back from Ruger on my initial question via email. They assigned me a customer number #1049**** and suggested my calling or sending in the trigger group that has missing Sear Spring and more specifically the stuck trigger return spring.

Id like to send the mechanism to Ruger for repair or see about replacing, but have no address to return it via fed X.

I also wanted to know if Ruger offers any discounts to veterans? Im a disable Vietnam Veteran.

Thanks for your time.

Ruger finally contacted me and the lady was very apologetic and explained they were short staffed. She immediately got me taken care of and I’ll be able to get my firearm fixed.

Original review Nov 14, 2024
I recently purchased a Ruger Security Nine not even a week ago. I was so excited to purchase this gun for security purposes.

When I got home and went to test it out, I was very disappointed in the fact that I could only get one shot out before the gun jammed up. I have tried multiple times to reach out to customer service via email and have also called the customer service, leaving multiple voicemails, but I have received no response. This is very disappointing as I have loved all Ruger firearms. Now, however, I am stuck in a predicament where I am left with a pistol that does not work properly and I cannot get any help to figure out how to get it to work properly or get it fixed.

I need help as soon as possible. As I said, this is my protection for my farm and for the fact that I am home alone with my children most of the time.

If someone could please reach out to me as soon as possible so I can get this taken care of, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Return of a pistol.

I purchased a lcp 22 for my wife and she loved it but after less than 200 rounds fired the trigger locked up. I called customer service and they sent me a return form to send it back.

They quickly informed me that the pistol had to be replaced which they did at no cost.

I was kept informed through the process. I give Ruger 5 stars for there service.

This was for a pre-Ruger Marlin and their inforamation was correct. They do not have the parts or service for pre-Ruger Marlin firearms as it clearly states on their website. This was not Ruger's fault.
